Rose Buds Bejewelled Devoire Velour
Velour is a knit fabric with an organic stretch.
Velour was originally used for upholstery but in the 1970s it grew in popularity as a clothing fabric.
Devoiré (also known as burnout) is a fabric technique used on velour. This is where the material undergoes a chemical process to dissolve the cellulose fibres to create a semi-transparent pattern along side the more solidly woven fabric.
This fabric features large, yellow and red, roses in full bloom as well as some budding beauties arranged in bunches with green leaves and set against a peach textured background and detailed with gems.
